IMPORTANCE OF NEET & ITS COMPETITION

National Eligibility cum Entrance Test, (NEET) is the most popular medical entrance examination conducted nationally every year across India. Aspirants who wish to study MBBS, BDS or other medical courses, either in government or private medical colleges within India and abroad should qualify NEET. so that the number of aspirants increase every year which leads to tight competition. There are lakhs of students who work hard for NEET Exams, hundreds of coaching institutions as well. To stand out among them is a major task to accomplish. NEET ELIGIBILITY

To Appear For The NEET Students Are Required To Meet Certain Eligibility Criteria With Respect To Graduate Medical Education.

Qualifying Examination

Candidates applying for NEET must have passed 10+2 or equivalent examination from recognized boards with Biology/Biotechnology, Chemistry, Physics, and English as core subjects. Those students appearing for 10+2 are also eligible for appearing for NEET.

Age Requirement & Limit

Candidates must have completed 17 years as of December 31st of the respective year of appearing for the qualifying exam. The upper age limit clause is removed until the Supreme court declares its verdict on it.

Qualifying Marks

The aggregate marks of PCB subjects are considered for qualifying. Based on the category of the candidate the qualifying marks vary.

Unreserved (UR) – 50%
OBC/SC/ST/Reserved-PH – 40%
Unreserved-PH (PWD) – 45%

Number of Attempts

Candidates can attempt NEET exams any number of times as per the latest amendments by the authorities.

Nationality

Indian nationals, NRIs – Non-Resident Indians, PIOs – Person of Indian Origin, OCIs – Overseas Citizens of India, and even foreign nationals are eligible for NEET.
